The major cause of skin cancer is ultraviolet rays from the sun and from tanning machines.

After years of debate about whether antioxidants could make a difference of skin cancer, more dermatologists advise their patients to feast on foods high in these nutrients. While virtually all experts agree that eating food rich in antioxidants is good for your overall health, the evidence have  specifically help to prevent skin cancer.

1) Beta-carotene can give you certain health benefits by converting to vitamin a in the body! It also boost immune system’s ability to fight disease.
You can find beta-carotene in orange colored vegetables such as carrots, squash, Sweet potatoes, cantaloupe, apricots.

2) Lycopene
The red pigment in lycopene that helps protect the tomato and against sun damage may also help. protect your skin against sun damage.

3) Omega-3 Fatty Acids

5) Selenium
A recent major review of 16 studies involving more than 144,000 people reported that those with a higher intake of selenium have a 31% lower risk of cancer at any site and a 40% lower risk of cancer deaths.

6) Vitamin C
Vitamin C make it’s toxic to cancer cells. General studies have linked higher blood levels of the vitamin with a lower overall risk of cancer deaths.

You can find vitamin C from oranges, lemons, limes, strawberries, raspberries and leafy greens, broccoli and bell peppers.

7) Vitamin D
Benefits of vitamin D are bone- building and immune boosting. It is known to reduce the risk of melanoma. Look for vitamin D3, the most effective form of the vitamin.

8) Vitamin E

9) Zinc
